We’ve played at thousands of weddings throughout the years. We’ve paraded guests from ceremonies, surprised people by bursting in during the signing of the register, and you can often find us playing trumpet limbo. We’re the kind of wedding brass band who get involved… Whilst we offer lots of different elements for weddings, there’s lots of room for you to personalise it every step of the way.

AFTERNOON DELIGHT

We offer an afternoon package that can involve us playing during the ceremony, parading you and your guests to the venue, playing on an open top bus en route to the venue, and performing at the drinks reception. We can even play during your entrance into the wedding breakfast. Includes up to 2 hours of music.

BANGING EVENING BASH

Our evening package can welcome your wedding guests with dancing on the lawn, a conga into the evening venue and a party to remember which can end with you and your guests dancing and singing under the stars or dancing on the tables. Includes up to 2 hours of music.

THE FULL BRASS BASH

NYBB can offer a complete wedding package that can include a trumpet fanfare for the ceremony, a jazz trio or quartet for the meal or drinks reception and a Yorkshire based DJ to work in conjunction with the band at the evening party. (Yorkshire weddings only)

HEY MR DJ!

Alongside our big wedding brass band energy, we also offer a pro DJ service as part of our main wedding package – so when the band finishes, the party absolutely doesn’t! Think seamless transitions from live brass bangers to dancefloor fillers, crowd-pleasing anthems, and late-night guilty pleasures. Our DJ keeps the vibes high and the tunes flowing, so your guests can keep dancing ‘til their feet give out. No awkward silences, no dodgy playlists – just one epic celebration from start to finish.

THE WEDDING CRASHERS

Want us to make an entrance your guests will never forget? We can crash your first dance! Just as everyone’s watching your first twirl around the dance floor, we’ll burst in with a bang, turning your romantic moment into an epic party starter! We will crash in with one of our crowd-pleasing floor-fillers or if your first dance lends itself to a bit of brass, join in and give it a New Orleans-style twist. QUESTIONS

We are based in Yorkshire, but we’re always happy to consider requests to play anywhere you need us. We’ve been all across the world to bring our big brass sound to events everywhere.

It depends on the event. Generally we would play 2 sets of 50 minutes but every event is different, so get in touch to discuss your requirements.

As every event has different requirements and is in a different location the cost of booking NYBB varies. Please get in touch with details of your event and we will be happy to prepare a quote for you.

Yes! we are happy to learn a song specially for your event.

The band does lots of public performances, get in touch and we will let you know where and when the most convenient gig is for you. Keep an eye on our social media for announcements.

The band has £10m of public liability insurance with the Musicians Union and all our electrical equipment is regularly PAT tested. Please ask us if you need copies of these documents.

We need a minimum area of 6m x 4m if the band is static and using the drum rig. We can also roam around as we can play without power if required.

If the band is playing without amplification we can walk into the venue playing our 1st tune. This gives you lots of scope to surprise your guests with a ‘pop-up’ style band. We sometimes use a small battery powered PA which we can carry in as we enter, if we need to use a larger PA or lights we’ll need 15 minutes to set up.

If you require a DJ before or after our sets we can include this service as part of the package for customers in Yorkshire.

New York Brass Band sounds at it’s best as a 7-piece group. A 5 or 6 piece band sounds pretty good but the musicians have to work so much harder to produce the sound and the energy, however, let us know the details and we will try to accommodate your budget and requirements.

The band is not paid by the hour, we are paid per performance so reducing the performance time will not have an impact on the price.

We are always grateful for food and drink especially when the band is on site for a longer period of time. The band members have no special dietary requirements.
